About the Founder – Marlene McCallum
The pioneer of our establishment, Marlene McCallum lives with a passion to host events that will be remembered forever. To certify her zest and talent in this area, she pursued several certifications:
- CMP (Certified Meeting Planner)
- CQEP (Certified Quality Event Planner)
- Multiple Cvent Certifications (Event Management, Virtual Events and Hybrid Events)
On top of that, Marlene holds a degree in Marketing and is a certified GAIQ (Google Analytics). In the corporate world, she worked in the marketing sector all her life. And that is where she realized that the best events had effective marketing behind them, and the skills of marketing management and event management complement each other well.
Being known as the greatest networker everywhere she worked, Marlene was always placed in charge of every event that had to be organized. She consistently volunteers both marketing efforts and event support for local non-profit organizations, and she has led several social media advertising campaigns starting back in 2008 (even before people were really acquainted with social media). In her nearly 30 years of experience with marketing, Marlene’s desire for devising unique marketing campaigns brought 1st Choice Marketing to life, and it is helping clients meet their needs more and more every day.
